About Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Corporate Action Policy --- National Strategy

National Strategy

SDGs are considered important for environmental protection and social sustainability. However, efforts to achieve the SDGs can also jeopardize the nation. Blindly promoting SDGs will lead to economic stagnation and contraction. If the national economy stagnate or shrinks and loses international competitiveness, the nation may perish. Rather than simply working blindly on the SDGs, we need to think strategically about how to tackle them with the aim of achieving national growth while keeping an eye on the movements and directions of other countries. In order to ensure stable growth so as not to destroy the nation, a national strategy is also necessary for SDGs initiatives.

National Strategy

The SDGs are said to be a form of disarmament for nations. Disarmament is considered important for reducing national financial burdens and easing tensions between nations. But disarmament can also put nations at risk. If a country is disarming itself while its surrounding countries are expanding their armaments, the nation will spend its days in fear of its surrounding countries. In some cases, it may be attacked and destroyed by foreign countries.
SDGs are also considered important for environmental protection and sustainable development of society. At the same time, efforts to achieve the SDGs can impede a country's international competitiveness and economic development, and put the country in jeopardy.
Currently, there is a conspicuous movement to use the SDGs as "tools to attack" specific politicians and companies. This is because it is easier to attack other organizations if they are not serious about it, and it is easier for us to profit ourselves than to be honest about ourselves.
In addition, companies and consultants pretending to be working on the SDGs are becoming more noticeable. More and more companies are appearing one after the other, even though they are empty inside, they are just appealing that they are working on the SDGs. The SDGs may no longer be nothing more than a propaganda tool with no content.
Countries should not just read the text of the SDGs adopted by the United Nations and simply work on them.
It goes without saying that we must be careful not to let foreign countries or self-proclaimed environmental groups use our efforts toward the SDGs as a source of attack. It is necessary to carry out propaganda work using the media appropriately and quickly.
Of course, in order to protect national interests and carry out effective propaganda work, it is important to formulate an appropriate and applicable national strategy. The future of a country will be greatly influenced by what kind of national strategy it develops while taking a bird's-eye view of the international community.
