Home --- Topics --- February 2023 3rd issue: Differences in thinking between those who can adapt to change and those who cannot
There are people who notice changes, act and respond to them, and people who do not act and are left behind by change. What is the difference between those who can adapt to change and those who cannot? What is the difference between those who act and those who do not? Times change. The world is changing. In order to survive the changes of the times, it is necessary to respond firmly to the changes and act accordingly. Let's take a look at the difference between the mindset of those who can adapt to change and those who can't.
People who can't adapt to change are people who don't try to do what they can, putting the responsibility on "environment" or "others".
On the other hand, people who can adapt to change are those who always find out what they are not doing and try to act steadily from what they can do.
For example, in today's world, people who can't adapt to change are just saying complaints like following:
"Sales fell because of the COVID issue" "Purchasing costs are rising," and "If you raise prices, customers will run away, so business will go down."
Certainly, both corona and high prices are big disasters for merchants. But those misfortunes are not only befalling them.
Rather, even under such circumstances, there are some people who have responded firmly to changes and secured sales and profits.
People who can adapt to change try to figure out what they can do by thinking as follows.
"What is the best way to approach new customers during COVID-19?", "Is there a way to deepen ties with regular customers during COVID-19?" "Is there anything we can do to keep our customers from running away even if we raise our prices?"
There will be a gradual difference in sales and profits between those who find out what they can do and act on it and those who do not.
Respond to change and be a survivor. To that end, let's stop blaming "environment" and "others". Then find out what you can do in difficult situations and try to do what you haven't done.
The worst thing is not to act even if you notice the change and become poorer and poorer.
Be a change maker. Ask yourself, "Is there anything I can do?" or "Is there anything I haven't done?" Then, let's act steadily from "what we can do".
Remember, only those who can adapt to change will survive.
