Home --- Topics --- July 2023 4th: Is the revival of the whole "night town" still far away?
It seems that the light and darkness - the restaurants that are revived at night, and the others that are not - are divided. I think less than half of the total sales are recovering smoothly. It seems that there are quite a few restaurants where customers do not come back and management is difficult. Shops that are easy for people to gather attract more and more people, and shops that don't attract people are becoming more and more difficult to manage. If you look at "Night Town" as a whole, the revival may still be a long way off.
There are fewer restrictions on behavior, and people are gradually wearing masks less and less.
Even though people are now able to act freely, it does not mean that people's anxieties have disappeared. Some people still wear masks, and some people no longer eat out like they used to.
It seems that people are still cautious about going out to the "night town", night visitors increase little by little.
Even if you go to the night town, first of all, let's only go to restaurants where you can easily enjoy meals. Even if you drink alcohol, keep it to about 1-2 drinks.
With that kind of feeling, it seems that the bustle of the city at night is not completely revived.
In recent years, it is said that there have been an increasing number of reports of so-called "rip-offs," in which exorbitantly high fees are charged in downtown areas at night. Due to the decline in sales compared to before the corona crisis, there may be an increasing number of stores that are charging customers higher amounts.
If rip-offs increase and its reputation suffers, people will stop coming, and the revival of the "night city" will become even more distant. Even in a difficult situation, there are some restaurants that have been well received by customers and are recovering well. I would like the management to work on the ingenuity to gather people without going into ripoffs.
