Humans are incomprehensible creatures. Even for those who observe and reason every day to try to understand others, it is difficult to sense what other people are thinking. Even the most insightful people have no idea what other people are thinking. It's so difficult to understand others, so it's impossible for people who don't listen to others to understand their feelings. We need to proceed with our business on the premise that "people cannot understand each other."

People don't understand each other. It is important for businessmen to proceed with business under the premise that "people cannot understand each other." Many businessmen are worried, stressed, and suffer because they continue to waste their efforts thinking, "People should be able to understand each other." In order to avoid wasted effort, businessmen should pay attention to the following points when deciding how to work.

Use 'feelings' and 'authority' over 'theory'.

Many businessmen try to persuade customers with "theory". Business presentations often tend to be too biased towards persuasion activities based on "theories." However, "theory" alone is not enough to motivate customers. Rather, there are customers who dislike persuading with "theory". In order to motivate customers, it is more important to stimulate their "feelings" than "theory" and actively use "authority".

Stop trying to understand the other person.

Serious business people tend to try to understand the other person. But trying to understand the other person is a waste of time. Instead of spending your time understanding the other person, spend your time doing something more productive.

Instead of believing what people say, watch what they do.

When running a business, don't simply believe what others are saying. Of course, some people say credible things, but others lie. Some people change what they say depending on who they are talking to, and some say the exact opposite of what they used to say. Instead of believing what others say, watch their actions. Observing behavior reveals the true character of a person.

Stop trying to "get yourself understood"

Some people worry that people around them don't understand them. It's a waste of time to worry. Business people must value their time. There is no time to waste your time on wasted efforts. If you want results as a businessman, stop making effort to "get yourself understood" right now.

Stop trying to change other people's minds, only change your own behavior

Trying to change other people's minds is a futile effort. Don't try to change other people's minds when business isn't going well. To improve your business, you need to change your behavior. Effective business people are more capable of correcting their behavior. For better results, stop trying to change the other person's mind and change your own actions.

Businessmen should act on the premise that people cannot understand each other. If you have time to waste trying to understand each other, it's time to reassess your behavior.
