June 2023 10th: Learn people's values
"Values" are created by other people's evaluations, relative comparisons, and assumptions.
People care about other people's evaluations. Things that are highly valued by celebrities and authority figures are especially easy to recognize as valuable. A person's sense of worth is easily influenced by the evaluation of others.
If only one product is shown, people cannot evaluate it as good or bad. By comparing it with other products and having them explain the difference, it is possible to evaluate whether the product is superior or inferior. People's sense of value is made by relative comparison.
People create their own values based on their beliefs. You may find certain brands extremely valuable, or you may dislike others. People tend to stubbornly believe that values created based on assumptions are correct.
People change their values based on their emotions. If there is a shocking or unpleasant incident for the person, it may change the values greatly.
Of course, some people have logical and rational values. Some people keep their objective values unchanged. However, many people's values are easily swayed by authorities and emotions.
To succeed in business, it is better not to ignore people's values and their changes. Don't just impose your own values, take advantage of others' values.
