The biggest factor in making bad business decisions is viewing things based on likes and dislikes. People who view things based on likes and dislikes inevitably view information from a biased perspective, make biased perceptions, and make incorrect decisions. Managers must master the correct way to process information, rather than looking at things with likes and dislikes.
In order to see information correctly, you need to look at it from angles you don't normally see. Seeing information you don't like, seeing information from a different perspective, or seeing information from people who are in conflict with you can help you view information from multiple perspectives. When making business decisions, check yourself to see if you are making the right decision. A good business decision is one that makes you feel glad you made it later. Incorrect judgments are based on biased information, biased cognition, and one's own likes and dislikes.
