January 2024 2nd: The world changes, but the principles remain the same

Times change. The world changes. As times change, conventional wisdom no longer applies. People with old ways of thinking become increasingly obsolete. However, the principles of the world remain the same. Although the appearance may have changed significantly, the principle does not change easily. Managers must pay close attention to superficial changes in the world, and at the same time be well aware of the unchanging principles that lie deep within.

It is said that we live in an era of rapid change. Managers also need the skills to respond quickly to change. If you keep repeating the same old ideas over and over again, business management will become increasingly difficult. In an era of rapid change, companies are required not only to respond to change, but also to advance corporate reforms with the mindset of anticipating change.
On the other hand, there are also things that should not be changed. It lies in the mechanisms and systems that concern the principles of society and human nature.
Some managers push forward with bold reforms so much that they end up touching on aspects that are related to the fundamentals and essence of the company. In some cases, these reforms can become a hindrance and put corporate management in jeopardy. Although it is important to advance bold reforms, managers must also be aware that there are some principles and aspects that should not be changed.
What should and should not change in a company? This is an extremely delicate issue. Without reform, companies will be left behind. However, reform does not necessarily mean that we can respond to the changing times. Some companies respond to changes in the times by reforming and grow significantly, while others fall into a management crisis as a result of their reforms. Managers must be careful and discern the subtleties.
