People sometimes behave irrationally. Many people find it difficult to stop behaving irrationally, even when they know it is irrational. People do not change their behavior easily just by persuading them logically. There is a reason why people behave irrationally. When doing business, it is important to understand that human behavior is not always rational.

July 2024 Part 3: Human behavior is not always rational

As a businessman, you should take a look at yourself to see if you are behaving irrationally. When you have some trouble or your business is not going well, it may be because you are behaving irrationally.
Are you acting based on supposition, preconceptions, or past habits? Or, are you acting rationally based on data? Do you rationally prioritize the tasks you need to do?
Observe customer behavior. Customers behave differently. Some behave rationally, while others behave irrationally. By carefully observing customer behavior, you can find many business hints.
Forcing customers to change their behavior takes time, money, and effort. Instead, provide products and services that make it easy for customers to take action.
As business people, we should correct our own irrational parts. At the same time, it is important to accept the irrational parts of our customers and conduct business in a way that is sympathetic to their irrationality.
