July 2024 Part 9: Ukrainian restaurant Zhyto shows a different side at night

If you come to the evening with the same feeling as if you were coming for lunch during the day, you might be a little confused by the menu. There are no courses or sets, but rather you order each dish individually, such as the main dish, dessert, salad, bread, and aperitif. There are many different types of food, and aside from famous dishes such as borsch, there are many dishes that are hard to find in Japan, so you might have trouble deciding what to order.
It might be a good idea to go there multiple times and order everything one by one, eventually trying all of the dishes. If you don't want to be too adventurous, it's safe to just order the first dish, borsch.
The atmosphere seems to be different in the evenings than during the day. Why not take your time and enjoy the atmosphere while sipping wine or vodka? You may begin to understand Ukrainian culture better after going there a few times.
