Home --- Topics --- May 2, 2024: First, do what is required
First, do what your customers want. If you suddenly offer something that your customers don't want, they won't buy it. But sometimes, even if they didn't want something in the beginning, they may start to want it as they look at it. In order to get your customers to buy what you want to sell, one way to get them to buy it is to first do what they want.
Some salespeople try to force what they want to sell on customers right away. There are managers who only talk about the products and services they want to sell without listening to the customers.
"My product is so good and amazing, why isn't it selling?"
Managers who struggle with this often don't listen to their customers and often don't understand what their customers want.
Listen to your customers. Really good salespeople are good listeners.
Know what your customers want, then give them what they want first.
"This person does what I want."
If you can get your customers to think this way, things will move forward and your work will become easier.
Once you have built a relationship of trust, it becomes easier to talk about the products or services you want to sell.
If you want to increase your sales results, become a better listener, find out what your customers want, and then give them what they want first. After that you can talk about the product you want to sell.
