November 2024 Part 5: What to do when you're worried

What do you do when you're in trouble or something worrying happens? Many people become worried when they're stuck at work, when they're having trouble one after another, or when people in the world just don't behave the way they want them to. But worrying alone won't solve anything. In order to find a solution, you have to take some kind of action. Here, let's think about what to do when you're worried about something.

November 2024 Part 5: What to do when you're worried

What are you worried about? What is the cause of your worries?
First, let's think about the cause of the problem.
Are you the cause of your worries? Or is it someone else other than you?
If you are the cause of your worries, then you can solve the problem by changing yourself.
For example, if you have recently gained weight and are worried about becoming slimmer, the cause may be your poor diet and lack of exercise. Perhaps your work has been busy recently and you have been under a lot of stress and pressure, which are causing your poor diet and lack of exercise.
In other words, by improving your diet and getting into the habit of exercising, you can solve the problem of "gaining weight." Relieving pressure from work and releasing stress may also help solve the problem.
But be careful if someone other than yourself is causing you distress.
In such cases, you often tend to complain or become aggressive, asking that person to change. However, doing so may only increase your worries. That person may not change as you wish, or may even attack you in return.
Stop worrying when someone doesn't do what you want them to do. It's arrogant to demand that others do what you want them to do.
Instead, change yourself. Solve the problem by changing yourself. Even if the problem is caused by someone other than yourself, change yourself.
For example, some people worry that the US presidential election did not go as they expected. Worrying about such things will not accomplish anything. Instead, think about how you should change in light of the new US president and the resulting changes in the international situation.
Instead of wasting time worrying or complaining about unexpected results, let's change quickly to adapt to the new times.
Whatever your worries, understand the cause and change yourself. Look to the future and think only about how you can make your future better.
