Home --- Topics --- October 2024: The presence of rivals
In sports, academics, and business, the presence of rivals is very important. The presence of rivals stimulates a competitive spirit. The desire to win inspires you and motivates you to work hard in a positive manner. If you have not set a rival, set one now. Without a rival, you tend to slack off on your efforts and waste your days. Having a strong desire to beat your rivals can greatly improve your own abilities.
Who is your rival? Are you beating them? Or are you losing to them? Do you know your rival's strengths and weaknesses? What efforts are you making to beat them? What strategies are you using to beat them?
Motivate yourself by having a strong desire to beat your rivals. You are working hard, but your rivals are surely working hard too. You are making strategies, but your rivals are surely making strategies too. By continuing to work hard and coming up with strategies over and over again, you can improve your own level and surpass your rivals.
When competing with a rival, be sure to focus on positive efforts. It is not healthy to try to win by slandering your rival or disrupting their activities. A good rivalry can only be achieved through healthy competition, where both parties work hard and innovate to improve each other.
People who say, "I have no rivals" are in danger. If you have no rivals to compete with, you will easily lose your ambition and motivation to work hard. If you lose your ambition, you will gradually become self-indulgent and your level will drop.
Having rivals is very important in order to avoid unconsciously lowering your own level.
The desire to beat your rivals is what motivates you. Set a rival and motivate yourself to greatly improve your own skills.
