June 2025: Good managers don't brag

Management has its ups and downs. There are good times and bad times. If you get carried away when things are going well, you may suffer when things go badly.
When business is going well, managers also feel good. They tend to get excited and want to brag to everyone, saying, "My business is going well." If you brag, people will be jealous. People gather around successful people. If you brag to those people, you will feel even better. On the other hand, your old friends may leave, saying, "You've changed."
When things are going well, you also want to brag. But if you brag too much, you will gradually become complacent. And when a manager becomes complacent, it is often the case that the business will not go well and they will be easily betrayed by those around them.
It is not uncommon for successful business owners to become complacent and then collapse and disappear. Business owners should be extremely careful not to become complacent.
A good manager doesn't brag. Instead, he is humble and always listens to what people have to say. And when things go wrong, he or she has a plan in place to avoid suffering.
