An organization may not be functioning well. Business performance may not be improving as expected. This might be because the organization's purpose is not truly shared among its members. Even if the organization's purpose and goals are posted as slogans, it doesn't mean that their meaning has permeated every single person in the organization. Managers must ensure that the organization's purpose is truly shared among its members so that they correctly understand it.
Talk to the people at the grassroots level of the organization. Listen to their voices. Make sure they truly understand the organization's purpose.
Talk to managers and leaders. Observe how they communicate with their subordinates. Make sure that managers and leaders are clearly and convincingly communicating the organization's purpose to their subordinates.
Make it a habit to talk about your organization's purpose. Continuously communicate your organization's purpose to those around you, almost as a catchphrase. You can never talk too much about your organization's purpose. Make it a habit to state your organization's purpose whenever you open your mouth.
Ask the people in your organization: How can we achieve the organization's objectives? What are the challenges? Is the organization currently doing things in line with its objectives? Are there any challenges or problems? If there are challenges or problems, how should they be addressed?
If an organization loses sight of its purpose, it will not achieve good results. To ensure that the organization can effectively fulfill its purpose, managers must ensure that everyone truly shares that purpose.
