Mie Prefecture is located in the east of the Kii Peninsula, southeast of Kinki district. In the mountains and the southern part of the prefecture, abundant nature, agriculture and fishery are thriving. Meanwhile, the coastal area of the northern central part carries a part of the Chukyo industrial area centered on Nagoya, with factories lining up.
