Miyagi is a prefecture in the Tohoku region, where individuality rich areas are being developed. The east of the prefecture faces the Pacific Ocean, and there are abundant scenic sights such as Matsushima. It is a rich and easy-to-live area including Western mountains that change facial expressions every four seasons, and one of Japan's leading granaries.
Although the prefecture suffered great damage due to the earthquake in 2011, the people live ther continue to pursue the path to reconstruction with their constant efforts.
