Hatcho miso is miso made in Hachijo-cho (former Hatcho village), about Hatcho west of Okazaki Castle. It is still made using traditional methods from the Edo period.
If you apply at the visitor reception desk to the east of the head office, you can actually visit the brewery where miso is made. Visitors will be able to sample the food as well. There is also a direct sales store, and there is also a limited Hatcho Miso that can only be purchased there. Hatcho miso is famous as miso in Aichi Prefecture, and Maruya Haccho Miso's warehouse is also popular as a tourist destination.
The nearest stations are Okazaki Kouen Mae Station on the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line or Nakaokazaki Station on the Aichi Kanjo Railway Line.
