Houraiji is a temple in Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture. It is located in Mt.Houraiji that is said to be a treasure trove of nature.

It is a famous temple with a history of 1300 years. It is also famous as a famous spot for autumn leaves.
You can see it when you climb the mountain about 6.5 km from JR Iida Line "Yuya hot spring" station. Alternatively, take the Toyotetsu Bus from Hon-Nagashino Station on the JR Iida Line and get off at the Horaiji bus stop, then walk up the stone steps from Omotesando for about an hour.
