We are investigating and introducing tourist information around Minamisoma City. Minamisoma city is in the south of Soma city in northern part of Hama-dori, Fukushima prefecture. It is the town which challenges the reconstruction from the East Japan great earthquake and TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident. Minami Soma City is full of green spots and active spots. It is also a traditional city that inherits a historic festival more than a thousand years.
Damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011 and the Tokyo Electric Power Company Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, a considerable part of Minamisoma city has become an evacuation direction area.
After that, radiation decontamination work by the country and the city advanced, the evacuation direction was canceled, full-scale reconstruction began.
