Virtue

Here we will think about virtue.

Virtue

Confucius tells a lot to us. Analects has a number of shining words. Among them, the most precious treasure of mankind is "virtue".
"Virtue" is so-called morality, and is the correct conduct as a person. "Virtue" is justice. It is the heart of sincerity to to do good things by distinguishing good and evil. "Virtue" is to have a heart of mercy and help people's mind. Some says "virtue" is something nature. Some says it can be equipped by the spirit cultivation.
Confucius seems to think that virtue can be enhanced in people's mind.
Confucius said virtue would be enhanced by moving on justice and by emphasizing the loyalty and trust primarily.
In other words, by being honest cordially without disguise and going toward to justice, we can enhance the virtue.
Indeed, the simple word is what Confucius would have said. It is easy to say, but maybe difficult to practice. We need to reflect ourselves if we were honest cordially, or disguise, and if we are moving toward virtue.
Confucius occasionally have lamented the few people understand and love virtue. Virtue is difficult to be enhanced, and easy to be neglected.
Because few people understand and love virtue, it is important to enhance virtue.
Maybe that is the way to be close to the saint, the person of virtue, and create ideal society.
