When social organizations become corrupt and begin to collapse, the right people will lose their place. Some people escape to a foreign country, abandon the world and move to countryside, or they die their own lives.
Confucius lost his presence in Lu's country and went on wandering tours of the countries. Then he had various hardships.
However Confucius respected humanity and justice. He continued to preach to the princes to correct the courtesy as a lifelong job.
Confucius himself knows that the world is disturbed and that the ideal way is not done. That is why, Confucius revived the order in the world and tried to correct the way. Perhaps he thought that it was his own destiny.
Even if he knew that he would suffer, it was the way that Confucius has chosen to continue preaching the right way to people without daring to abandon the world, nor stopping his own life. If the ideal way has not been done in the world, it would not have been acceptable for him to leave it or to run away.
People who are mentally weak will be desperate and hopeless when suffering unexpectedly. It is not easy to endure persistently and keep preaching under such circumstances.
Even if you know you can not do it anymore, do not abandon the world daringly, do not despair and commit suicide, but do your best to justify the world. From each short sentence of the Analects we can learn how to live in the present era.

Analects and Its Influence
Analects is words and deeds recording of Confucius and his disciples. We do not know by who and how the words and deeds are summarized. But maybe they were made by disciples after the death of Confucius.
