Shrines in Aomori

Towada Shrine

Creation: early 9th century
Address: Yasumiya 486, Okuse-towada-kohan, Towada City, Aomori Prefecture
Features: It is a historical shrine of Lake Towada, known as a place of study, sacred place, and power spot.

Kabushima Shrine

Creation: 1269
Address: Same 56-2, Samemachi, Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture
Features: A shrine built on an island that is known as a breeding ground of Umineko. It has landed due to landfill construction during the Second World War.

Iwakiyama Shrine

Creation: 780
Address: Terazawa 27, Hyakuzawa, Hirosaki-shi, Aomori Prefecture
Features: Located in the west of Hirosaki City, at the foot of Iwakiyama, it is called "Oku-Nikko".

Hirota Shrine

Creation: 996
Address: Nagashima 2-13-5, Aomori-shi, Aomori Prefecture
Features: It is known as a shrine of avoiding sickness due to the experience of excluding the calamity of the great famine.

Kushihiki Hachimangu Shrine

Creation: end of 13th century
Address: Hachimancho 3, Hachiman, Hachinohe-city, Aomori Prefecture
Features: Many people have been respected the shrine as a total guardian of the southern clan (southern part of Aomori prefecture, northern part of Iwate prefecture) since the Kamakura period. Also, the entire Hachimangu Shrine is a cultural asset, such as treasure collection, treasure troops including red string weapon, main hall of nation designated important cultural assets.

Address: Aomori Prefecture Tsugaru City Ushigata Town Washinosawa 147-1
Features: The red Torii lined with its own creates an atmosphere like a different space.

Entsuji

Address: Shinmachi 4-11, Mutsu-city, Aomori Prefecture
Features: This is a temple of Soto Buddhist, who is managing the Osorezan Bodaiji.

Engaku-ji

Features: It is a prayer temple that gathered faith as Taniguchi Kannon since ancient times.

Seigan-ji

Seisui-ji

Address: Nakai 18-2, Korekawa, Hachinohe-city, Aomori Prefecture
Features: It is a temple located south of Hachinohe City. Kannondo is the oldest wooden building in Aomori prefecture and has become a nationally designated important cultural asset.

Osore-zan Bodaiji

Address: Usoriyama, Tanabu, Mutu-city, Aomori Prefecture
Features: One of the three biggest sacred places in Japan. Let's go with easy-to-walk forms such as athletic shoes.
