Mountain Climbing in Iwate

Would you like to enjoy the rich nature of Iwate? If so we recommend mountain climbing. Here we introduce the popular mountains of Iwate.

Kurikoma yama

A mountain that spans three prefectures of Miyagi prefecture, Akita prefecture, and Iwate prefecture
Altitude 1,626 m. It is a climbing course of about 4 hours or so.

Iwate san

Hachimantai city, Iwate
Altitude 2,038 m. It takes about 9 hours for round trip to climb.

Himekami San

Morioka city, Iwate
The altitude is 1,124 m. The climbing course is about 3 hours less.

Hayachine san

Hanamaki city, Iwate
If you are climbing Mt. Hayachine, please use the Odagoshi course. The altitude is 1,917 m. The climbing course takes about 6 hours.

Kurakake yama

Takizawa city, Iwate
The altitude is 897 m. Climbing time is about 2 hours or so, it is a mountain that can climb safely.
