Morioka Hachimangu

Features:As a god of the origin of human life such as agriculture, industry, commerce, academia, clothing, food and shelter, the shrine has gathered tremendous revered people of the area from long ago.

Hakusan Shrine

Address:Hiraizumi 173, Nishiiwaigun Hiraizumicho, Iwate
Features:The Noh Gaku Den was designated as the only in East Japan as a modern era performance stage composed of a crosshair, a dressing room and the like, and was designated as an important cultural property of the country in May 2003.

Suwa Shrine

Features:A shrine located 700 meters north of Kitakami Station has various legends related to history.

Sakurayama Shrine

Address:Uchimaru 1-42, Morioka, Iwate
Features:The majestic Ishigaki that remembers Morioka Castle and the Bird's Hat rock behind the main hall stand as if it were Morioka Castle at the time of building, but it still stands upstairs and still familiar as being called Sakurayama-san.

Features:There are three mossy stones that originated from the place name "Iwate".

Chuson-ji Temple

Address:202 Koromonoseki, Hiraizumi, Iwate
Features:The significance of Chuson-ji's treasures is that they form an integrated collection of many different crafts, including lacquer work, woodwork, metalwork, dyeing and calligraphy all of which represent the pinnacle of Heian period Buddhist art in eastern Japan. Chusonji is also known as the landmark of autumn leaves.

Takkoku Seikouji

Creation:Early 9th century
Address:Hiraizumi Kitazawa 16, Nishiiwaigun Hiraizumicho, Iwate
Features:It is a historic temple related to Seii-Tai-Shogun Sakanoue Tamuramaro. Bishamondo built to cling to a cliff is also known as a power spot.

Kiyomizudera

Address:Ota 21-10, Hanamaki, Iwate
Features:It is regarded as one of Japan's three Kiyomizu. It is a temple of praying Kannon with eleven faces and Ofudo-sama.

Enkouji

Creation: Late 17th century
Address:Minamiodori 3-11-49, Morioka, Iwate
Features:In the precincts there is a tombstone of the Prime Minister "Yonai Mitsumasa" from Morioka City and father's Kubitsuka of Oren who was Christian and was arrested.

Kamaishi Daikannon

Creation:1970
Address:Odairacho 3-9-1, Kamaishi, Iwate
Features:The Bodhisattva prays for the peace of both worlds, mainly focusing on giving light to the spirit of those who died for various reasons due to the benevolence of Kansei Bodhisattva, leading to the Bodhisattva, and relieving people living in this world from suffering.
