Chuson-ji Temple

Chusonji Temple is a temple in Hiraizumi-cho, Iwate prefecture. June 2011 Register World Cultural Heritage. Konjikido, the treasure house of the most East of Buddhism in East Japan that conveys over 3000 national treasures and important cultural assets.

Features:The significance of Chuson-ji's treasures is that they form an integrated collection of many different crafts, including lacquer work, woodwork, metalwork, dyeing and calligraphy all of which represent the pinnacle of Heian period Buddhist art in eastern Japan. Chusonji is also known as the landmark of autumn leaves.
