Odesa Information

Geography

A city on the northwest coast of the Black Sea. It is located about 440 km south of the capital Kyiv. There are no large mountains or hills in the urban area, and it is mostly flat with sandy beaches, making it popular as a resort area.

Climate

Compared to the rest of Ukraine, it is mild and has almost no snowfall in winter. The average temperature is about 20degC in summer and about 0degC in winter.

Population

The 2015 statistics are about 1.02 million.
