Japan Sightseeing Information --- Iwate Prefecture Sightseeing Information --- Morioka History and Culture Museum
Morioka History and Culture Museum is a historical culture museum in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture. We expanded and renovated the building of the former Iwate prefectural library and opened it in one corner of Morioka castle track park (Iwate park) in July 2011.
After the Iwate Prefectural Library was relocated, we used the remaining buildings to introduce the history and culture of the castle town Morioka, and opened it as a base facility promoting sightseeing in the town.
