We are investigating and introducing trekking in Tochigi prefecture. Trekking refers to mountain walking. Not aiming especially at the summit, stroll through the mountains and enjoy the nature. We will post popular trekking in Tochigi Prefecture.
At the foot of the mountain, the plateau spreads, with lakes, magnificent waterfalls and volcanic autumnal leaves due to volcanic activity coloring. There is a splendid blend of historic buildings including the shrine temples and temples registered as World Heritage sites and the natural landscape surrounding it.

You can see Mt. Tsukuba from the observatory and the high-rise buildings and Mt. Fuji in the Tokyo sub-city center far away on the sunny days of clear skies.
A park in the mountainous hilly area with an altitude of around 300 m, centered on Karasawa mountain where the whole mountain was covered with cedar and red pine. The hiking course is in the surrounding area.
Because there is an altitude difference of approximately 1,200 m in this park, we can observe the change of vegetation according to the difference in elevation.
It is a low mountain course from 200 meters above sea level to 400 meters above sea level. It is rich in the topography and the view from the seasons is wonderful. From the ridge, you can see the Kanto plain with Akagi, Mount Fuji and Watarase river.
