Location

It is a trans-Eurasian country, 97% in Asia and 3% in Europe. It has the Aegean Sea to the west, the Black Sea to the north, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. In Europe, it borders Greece and Bulgaria to the northwest. In Asia it is bordered by Georgia to the northeast, Almeria to the east, the enclave of Azerbaijan, Iran, and Iraq and Syria to the southeast.
