Departure from Europeanism and Return to Japaneseization Theory --- Departure from Europeanism --- Plutocracy
Plutocracy is the use of money to gain political power. The wealthy class uses the power of money to seize state power, implement policies that are advantageous to the wealthy class, and increase their wealth to strengthen their power. As plutocracy progresses, the wealthy get richer and have a huge amount of wealth. Under plutocracy, there are many policies that are favorable to the wealthy, and often many of the people will suffer as they become poor.
In plutocracy, politicians create vested-interest structures and try to collect more money and power. A vested-interest structure is where politicians, civil servants, etc., and companies collude to make sure that taxes used by the government flow to specific companies, and profitable companies organize organizational votes to elect politicians, and politicians It means collecting the public officials who helped us, and further strengthening the system of tax money flowing to specific companies.
Plutocracy becomes a problem when bribery, illegal donations, or violations of the Public Offices Election Law are discovered. Certainly, politicians who are scandalized or arrested are problematic politicians. However, it may be that there is a much larger vested-interest structure hidden, and that the scandal is just the tip of the iceberg.
Plutocracy is rampant because basically the state has political and structural problems. Even if one or two politicians commit illegal acts and lose their positions, as long as the structural problems are not solved, politicians who cause similar problems will appear again.
The same goes for attacking specific companies and public officials involved in the vested interests structure. Of course, if you are involved in an illegal act, you should be punished. However, even if that specific company or public servant disappears, if the structure of the nation remains the same, there will be another company or public servant that creates a vested-interest structure.
As plutocracy worsens, national policies tend to be biased, and the suffering of many people and dissatisfaction with society increase due to heavy taxes and poverty.
