Departure from Europeanism and Return to Japaneseization Theory --- Return to Japaneseization --- Spiral

Spiral

A spiral is a spiral line like that seen in seashells. In the natural world, various things draw spirals and have spiral structures. In modern society, when we try to create something, we use rulers, compasses, and protractors to draw straight lines and circles, and then create things. However, in the natural world, rather than straight lines and circles, spirals may be the basis for creating and moving things.

Spiral

The kanji character "spiral" originally had the meaning of a swirling line, such as that of a snail's shell. Spiral structures are known not only for seashells but also for various plants and animals. Our DNA also has a three-dimensional structure of a double helix.
When you unplug the bath, the water flows in a whirlpool. Typhoons and tornadoes also draw eddies. Solar systems, galaxies, and even black holes are said to be spiraling. Drawing spirals or spirals is natural and rational, and many phenomena are based on spirals.
It may be time for us to graduate from making things with straight lines and circles, and learn and research how to make things with spirals. To study spirals is to study nature and its depths, to study the wisdom of nature. Only when we throw away rulers and compasses and start making things with spirals can truly rational manufacturing be realized.
