Third Eye
The pineal gland is originally an organ in the brain, and in many animals it seems to have the function of sensing light. Although it is an organ that humans also have, it is said that the activity of the pineal gland gradually decreased as people engaged in social life or developed the frontal lobe.
Life in modern society is convenient, but if you get used to it, the pineal gland may be prone to degenerate. Modern school education, which is centered on classroom lectures, mostly focuses on the development of the cerebrum, and is said to not contribute much to the development of the pineal gland. It may be that we modern people spend a boring life without activating the pineal gland, the "third eye" that we have been equipped with since we were born.
Known methods for activating the pineal gland, known as the "third eye," include training in waterfalls, caves, meditation, and fasting. Exercises such as yoga, zen and qigong have also been linked to activation of the pineal gland. Some people recommend living in nature, such as diving, mountain climbing, and forest bathing. Some say that listening to certain frequencies, watching raindrops falling, or looking at a clear night sky helps. However, it is not clear what effects either of these have on the pineal gland.
The practice of opening the "third eye" is also practiced by various spiritual and religious organizations. Some of them are called cult organizations, and dangerous religious groups that have caused incidents have been researching the "third eye". So, from the general public, it seems that just saying "third eye" or "pineal gland" can be seen as dangerous.
However, activation of the pineal gland itself is not always dangerous to society. Cerebral development and pineal gland activation are not necessarily contradictory. Rather, the thinking of many modern people who are biased toward education that increases knowledge through classroom lectures may be more dangerous. It is never good for people to remain trapped in prejudices, assumptions and selfish ideas. It is said that the reason why it is said that people with higher educational backgrounds are less likely to succeed in starting up their own business is that their intuition is weakening in spite of the increase in knowledge gained through their long student life.
In the future, I think it will become important to combine modern education with the enlightenment of the third eye, so that children develop intuition as well as knowledge and logical thinking.
