Departure from Europeanism and Return to Japaneseization Theory --- Return to Japaneseization --- Japanesque Teaching
“Wa no Guidance” refers to instruction in which various ideas are mixed. In Japanese teaching, multiple experienced people guide each other based on various ideas. Having multiple different coaches with different experiences, different knowledge, and different ideas creates many options. The person being instructed chooses the best and most suitable option from the variety of different instructions, or decides on his/her own to think anew and decide the path to follow.
Guidance means teaching and guiding, pointing out the way to go. A leader is usually more experienced and knowledgeable than the person being guided, and therefore can lead in a better direction. The instructor guides the person receiving instruction so that they can understand the teaching, but ultimately it is up to the person to decide what to do. Because guidance is advice, not command.
However, if there is only one instructor, the content of the instruction will inevitably be biased. Also, the person receiving the instruction feels as if the instruction has a strong force if they have no other choice. People need guidance from various perspectives, such as when they are at a crossroads in life. In order to choose a better path, if possible, I would like to receive guidance from people with multiple experiences, and also from people with different positions and ways of thinking.
It is unfortunate for those who receive guidance that there is only one leader. “Wa no Guidance”, where many options can be found, expands the possibilities of those who receive guidance.
